ジミー・ストリメルに関する現在の状況について最新情報をお伝えしたいと思います。
その際、私たちは完全に正直で透明性を保ちたいと考えています。
私たちが彼にフルタイムのメンバーとして再びバンドに参加する二度目のチャンスを与えたとき、私たちが唯一要求したのは、彼が薬物乱用から完全に潔白であることだった。
まさに薬物乱用について彼自身が書いており、一般的に非常にオープンに語っています。それに応じて、私たちは薬物とアルコールに対するゼロトレランスについて相互合意に達しました。
さらに、これは私たちがDead by Aprilとして出演するショーにのみ適用されます。もちろん、人生でどのような選択をするかは、彼であれ、他の誰かであれ、当然のことながらです。
ここ数か月間、ジミーがハイになっていてアルコールを飲んでいるのを目撃することが何度かありました。実際、彼が復帰メンバーとして私たちと一緒に行った最初のツアーでは、ツアーバスの中でアルコールを飲んでいました。だから彼には何度もチャンスがあった。
ツアー最後の2公演で、ジミーはステージ時間のほんの数時間前に私たちのもとを去りました。それは正気の沙汰ではありません!! 😳誰にも何も言わずに。それは、ショーを楽しむためにチケットを購入したDBAファンに対して非常に失礼です。キャンセルを拒否したため、残りのメンバーは実際にショーを行うために滞在しました。
ここの AA の皆さんの中に、依存症者とコミュニケーションをとったり、関係を持とうとしたり、さらには手助け（お金を貸したり、組織したり、最も必要なときにそばにいてあげる）することがどのようなものか、経験がある人なら、それがわかるでしょう。完全な悪夢になる可能性があります…あまりにも多くの嘘、被害妄想、操作の試み、冤罪があり、それはばかげています。そして文字通り、あなたにできることは何もありません。
彼が使用したり飲んだりするときはいつでも、私たちが彼の感情的なサンドバッグになることはできません。それは非常に疲れ、混乱があり、ストレスがかかり、信じられないほど破壊的です…
また、私たちは彼のイネーブラーになりたくないので、彼の行動に関係なく、常に新しいチャンスを与えたくありません。なぜなら、彼はいつも私たちに、今回が最後の使用または飲酒であると約束しているからです。
おそらくご理解いただけると思いますが、私たちにはジミーを手放す以外に選択肢はありません。そして私たちは、彼が人生で正しい道を歩むような将来の選択をすることを祈ることしかできません。これは私たちにはどうすることもできませんが、私たちは彼の力と幸運、そしてできる限りの最善を祈ります。

@Mark – Yep, it’s sad but true. I found the instagram post caption for proof, I posted it in the comments section of DBA’s post about Jimmie, it’s in reply to someone so you’ll have to look through a bit to find it. And April Army members if you see this, there’s evidence of Jimmie admitting to being a heroin addict which I just posted a screenshot of in the latest forum thread. Very sad indeed
I am a fan from China. I am very sad to hear the news. jimmie still can’t quit drugs. I hope the new members can do better.
We wish nothing but the best for Jimmie. And we intend nothing but the best of outcomes by being this transparent in this post. Hopefully a final wake-up call. We’ve been lending him money when he needed it, been trying to talk to him, support him in pretty much any possible way.. We also offered him a chance to go to a Thailand rehab which would be paid for in part by DBA. But nothing has helped, and yes — we’ve now given up and must move on.
Mark, are you that ignorant of addiction. It pains me that the lead singer is out but as one who does and continues to battle addiction, if you dont understand then keep your comments to yourself. Addiction is a daily battle, one of which I lose most days. That being said I respect the bands stance and completely agree with the why. But Mark, you’re 100% clueless. I feel bad for anyone YOU know that fights this day in and day out. Your statement is 100% everything wrong with the stigma of addiction. Walk the walk and talk the talk…if you dont understand than really Mark your comment should have been kept to yourself. what the band did is 100% the correct way to handle things. Other around him have to accept they were enabling. Maybe not on purpose and I assure you it was done out of love but bottom line addiction isnt the problem for just.the addict. Get over yourself mark and see this is not just what needed to happen but it’s what had to happen. To save or at least attempt at saving Jimmies life.
