As you might see there has come up alot of UK gigs and we are glad to announce that we will be coming to "the island" to do a tour together with our friends in "My Passion".
Tickets are available now and be quick because it`s a special tour with quite small venues so the risk of selling out fast is quite high!

Can`t wait to get back to crappy english food and great english crowds!

Pontus leaves Dead by April

Pontus has after some time off from the band decided to leave Dead by April
permanently. He feels that he wants to focus on his work as a songwriter,
wich is where much of his heart has been since day one.
It is of course sad for the band, the fans and everyone involved to see an
important member leave but if that is his wish we accept and respect his
decision. We owe it to everyone involved to continue what has only been
started...
Pontus has been with us from the start and will in some senses of course
always be a part of Dead by April as he will continue to write songs with
us. So don't be to alarmed, nothing is different in the songwriting
department!

Pontus says:

"The time has come for me to step aside from Dead by April. These years has
been filled with new experiences, memorable moments and I have truly learned
alot. I will be forever grateful for getting the opportunity to have lived
out the dream I had since I was a little boy and experienced something I'd
never thought I would experience.
I also deeply hope that Zandro gets the same magical and warm reception that
I have gotten around everything with this band. My focus is now on my job as
a full time songwriter, I will continue to write for the band and of course
also for other artists and bands.
Thank you all!
Love Pontus"

There are however some differences in the singing and guitar departments, or
to be very specific:
We have a new vocalist.

We decided that we didn't really need two guitars for the sound and felt
that we just wanted to focus on finding a great singer and a great
personality who was willing to give this his everything and together take
this band to new heights.
That guy is that very same some of you might have seen filling in for Pontus
before: Zandro Zantiago

Zandro stepped in to fill Pontus place on short notices and has always done
a great job and with time he has accelerated into a great fit for us. He
became a member in our hearts before even really joining and tomorrow in
Gothenburg he can finally do his first gig as an official member of Dead By
April!
We hope all of you give him a great welcome to this band and stand behind
him fully as we all do.

Zandro says:
"To get this chance is not only very flattering, it is also a big challenge
that I take on with all my heart!
Now being a part of the band is a great honour, that we work great together
and have alot of fun just makes it even more definite. This is where I
belong.
Indeed it is a big pair of shoes to fill up after Pontus as a singer and as
a person but I can assure the fans that I will give you my all and strive to
be the very best I can be, with Dead by April!"

A new year!

Dead by april is back after a couple of weeks with christmas and snow.
it`s a new year filled with good shows and tours !

Award Bonanza!

Hey There in the winter darkness!

After a year that has been nothing short of amazing for us it is now time for this years award ceremonies. We are very glad to inform you that we are nominated in three categories on "Bandit Rock Awards" and THREE categories in the the swedish grammy awards! It is a great honour to be nominated but we know we can never win this without your help.

You have always supported us and has helped us win awards and reach places we never thought was possible before so we truly hope you will keep supporting us!

Erat uppträdande på både Metaltown och igår i Scandinavium som förband till In flames var pinsamt orutinerat och falsksjungande.. Growlsen var okej, men för guds skull, hur datagjorda är era röster på inspelningarna egentligen? Maylene and the sons of disasters fick ju mer applåder den 11/12!

så jävla kul att 8000 pers på hovet totaldissade Dead by April 11/12.
Det absolut värsta är ju att dom har spelat in versioner av sina låtar utan

screamvocals som spelas på "vanlig" radio. Dom teabaggar i princip hela sin

redan innan obefintliga publik, inom den genre de vill tillhöra, genom att

"censurera" bort det enda som var bra med deras enda hitlåt.

Det är som om ett gäng Idoltöntar á la Darin och Idol-Danny och dom där

fjollorna skulle bli uppbackade av ett skivbolag för att göra "sån där hård

musik som är populär nu" och sen ba "nä asså vi vill nå ut till mer

casualpublik så vi tar bort dom hårda delarna", resulterande i nån slags

vedervärdig ohelig smörja som inte riktigt tillhör någon genre.

så när dom spelade så buade folk och gav dom fingret, när dom frågade om nån

visste vad deras nya singel hette visste ingen, när dom ville att vi skulle

sjunga med sjöng ingen för ingen kunde låtarna, det var ingen mosh, alla stod

still utan att headbanga eller klappa takten.

Sen när Killswitch Engage bad publiken att "make some noise for" Marlene and

the sons of disaster, första bandet, så skrek alla.
Andra bandet Everytime I die, alla skrek.
Tredje bandet, Dead by April, några få skrek lite men de flesta var tysta

eller buade.
Till In Flames skrek alla något helt otroligt och när In Flames bad om samma

sak var det samma visa fast då så buade fan hela hovet när de bad oss skrika

för DbA.
Anders Fridén i In Flames blev så förvånad av reaktionen att han började

skratta och visste inte riktigt vad han skulle säga:

Anders: "Skrik lite för våra kollegor från Göteborg - Dead by April!"
Publiken: "BOOOOOOOOOO!!!" och några "Fuck them jävla bögar!"
Inget ont om bögar, men det var det jag hörde folk skrika.
Anders: "hahahaha...ehm....haha"

Japan here we come!

We are honoured to let you know that we are confirmed for the legendary "Loud Park" festival in Tokyo. It`s really going to be amazing to come to Japan! Unfortunately that means that we are cancelling to of the gigs on the skindred tour but it has to be done!

We are also having a headlining gig in london just added!

I travelled up to Exeter from Plymouth just to see you guys. I get there to find that you cancelled it to go to Japan. Would have been nice to see an apology of some sort rather than just "Unfortunately that means that we are cancelling to of the gigs on the skindred tour but it has to be done!". I guess you guys couldn't give a shit about the people you let down by deciding not to bother with those 2 gigs on the tour. Unfortunately I won't be bothering to buy a ticket to see you guys live anymore but it has to be done.
